Events to help out with during March and part of April.

On Friday the 4th, volunteers will be washing dishes for the meal at 10:00 a.m. and will start preparing food at 6:00 p.m. Groups will meet in the McFarland Hall kitchen.
Mercy House Breakfast
Cooks will arrive at 5:30 a.m. to prepare for the breakfast which starts at 7:30 a.m. Servers and set-up help will need to arrive early.
A movie night will be held in the hall on Friday the 18th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Children will be making box cars to sit in for a “drive-in” movie theater feel.
Tuesday Night Prayer
The River Bible study will begin in the Adult Classroom and move to the McFarland Hall patio for worship and to provide a time of prayer with families. It begins at 7:00 p.m. each Tuesday.
Sunday Morning Giving
Speakers will be asking for specific items during Sunday services which will be given to families. Diapers, socks, underwear, feminine hygiene products and more are needed, even one item purchased is helpful.
Various groups will be making sandwiches to give to families for lunches. The River study will make them on 3/8, the Women’s Bible Study will make them on 3/16 and the Pastor’s Bible study will make them on 3/31.
Please contact Shannon Overpeck or Betty Thompson if you would like to help with any of these activities. Though Tuesday night is the official weeknight the church picked to participate weekly, other nights are open as well. Mercy House has a 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily volunteer shift and they request volunteers commit to helping weekly. See the Mercy House website to sign up any other time, volunteer agreements are available in the Gallery.
