Palm Sunday Morning Service, 10:00 a.m.
During the service this morning the Children’s Ministry is planning a children’s procession where they will wave palm branches during the service in remembrance of Christ’s triumphal entry. They will be helping with the worship before being dismissed to their Sunday School classes.
The One Great Hour of Sharing offering will also be taken on Palm Sunday. Feeding the hungry, helping people build up their own livelihoods, responding to disasters – These are all ways that your gift to the One Great Hour of Sharing will change lives, change communities and change the world!
Blessing of the Streets, 2:30 p.m.
Once again we will be joining with St. Joseph parish as they lead the annual “Blessing of the Streets” on Palm Sunday. This is an ecumenical gathering of people of faith who are concerned for the safety of this community and the violence in local neighborhoods. The procession will be an afternoon time of walking the neighborhood praying for peace. The group will meet at French Park at 2:30 p.m. for a time of prayer before the procession. See the St. Joseph website for more information.
