Dear FPCSA Family & Friends,

We are CANCELING the Trunk or Treat event scheduled for this evening.
When we scheduled the event, hospitalizations were on the decline and we had just moved to the more open tier in the state.  But recent news is making us more cautious.  And we prefer to be cautious rather than sorry. Last night the city of Santa Ana sent out a message strongly discouraging gatherings at this time.  Hospitalizations and ICU cases from Coronavirus are currently on the rise in the OC.  A recent investigative report on positive virus traces found on door handles, railings, and other surfaces in stores and restaurants in Orange County found three positive cases: all in Santa Ana.  For these reasons and more, we have decided to cancel our Trunk or Treat event this year… this wonderful year of 2020.  🙁

Shall we put this year in the books and move on?  I think so!
Tomorrow we begin November.  The 1st of November is All Saints’ Day.  Tomorrow is the first Sunday of the month — Family First Sunday — so we celebrate November birthdays and anniversaries; please write names and dates in the thread of the live-stream early in the worship service tomorrow, so I can recognize them.  We also celebrate Communion, so remember to have bread and cup ready for worship.  We also end Daylight Saving Time, so remember to set your clocks back tonight (you get an extra hour of sleep).  Goodness me, there’s a lot going on!
