Our Mission

The Mission at First Presbyterian Church in Santa Ana, located in the heart of Orange County is to worship God in spirit and in truth, lead children, men and women into a saving faith in Jesus Christ, bring believers into the spiritual fellowship of God's family, grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and serve as Christ's ambassadors in our surrounding community and throughout the world.

Our Community

During the 1960’s many congregations fled downtown Santa Ana. This “urban flight” left several abandoned churches in a densely populated area, full of ministry opportunities. FPCSA, however, made a conscious decision to stand as a beacon of light in the city; the result has been tremendous. Having celebrated 130 years of ministry in 2012, FPCSA recognizes that their "mission field" is on the doorstep of the church, and they are not easily shaken from where God has called them.

Our People

In 1 Corinthians 12:12, the Apostle Paul writes, “Your body has many parts – limbs, organs, cells – but no matter how many parts you can name, you’re still one body. It’s exactly the same with Christ.” (Msg) As an historic downtown church in an urban neighborhood, FPCSA is diverse. We come from all walks of life. With our rich history, we have members from every generation. We recognize that diversity matters to God and we believe that the local church is God’s chosen vessel and the hope of the world.

  • Video games don’t teach us about Jesus (1)

I’ve been playing video games since I was about six. The Atari 2600 was my console of choice.  Today, video games are a huge part of our kids lives and I feel like the church and it’s parents can’t ignore something so pervasive in our kids lives. They play them at school, on mobile devices […]
