Counseling
We feel it is the responsibility of the Pastor of this church to counsel with the couple to be married. The counseling will include a discussion of the privileges and responsibilities they assume in Christian marriage, as well as planning the marriage ceremony itself. It is our hope that at least one of the partner is a professing Christian, although it is our hope that both of them will share common and vital Christian faith. It is customary to meet the officiating Pastor at least three times before the wedding.
Officiating Pastor
A Pastor of this church will approve all weddings. If the family desires to have another Pastor officiating or assisting in the service, this should be made known at the time of the initial consultation. The requested Pastor must be ordained in a church or denomination that confesses the primary doctrines of the Reformed Tradition. Upon approval, an invitation will be extended to the guest Pastor.
