CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!
Jesus said, “Let the children come unto Me… Whoever welcomes such a one as this in My name, welcomes Me.”
At the end of the weekly zoom gathering with our children, Ms. Sandra always asks if there are any prayer requests. Every week, one of our children asks to pray that we have a good Halloween this year. Certainly, COVID-19 has struck us all this year, but it has been especially hard on our children.
So FPCSA is planning to host a safe and healthy Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 31st, at 5:00 p.m. in our church parking lot. All cautions and safety procedures will be maintained throughout the event. Parents are encouraged to bring their children. Others are encouraged to signup to provide a trunk of treats.
There will be three contests:
- best costume;
- best decorated trunk; and,
- best decorated pumpkin.
Everyone is encouraged to bring a carved or decorated pumpkin.
There will be a decorated Halloween Photo-Op provided.
Those who wish to volunteer to provide a trunk, please let Ms. Sandra know: esandra447@gmail.com
Volunteers, plan to arrive at 4:00 p.m., wear a mask, have everything pre-packaged, have gloves or tongs to transfer goodies from your trunk to the children’s bags, have enough for 50 children, and be creative! (you may want to provide games or toys or coloring books rather than candy). Please come with a joyful and welcoming attitude and with a mind toward health and safety. Costumes are encouraged.
Parents, arrive at 5:00 p.m., park in the covered parking lot (under McFarland Hall), please no scary or bloody costumes, have children wear a face mask (along with their other costume), instruct your children to maintain safe social distance, and HAVE FUN!
This is two weeks from today, so please plan accordingly.
